Arwibon 5600W (GT08) Review: The Budget Powerhouse

The Arwibon GT08 isn't just a scooter; it’s a high-performance electric vehicle designed for riders who demand extreme power without the $3,000 price tag. With a dual-motor setup delivering a staggering 5600W, it competes directly with premium brands while maintaining an entry-level price point.

Performance: Speed & Torque

The standout feature of the Arwibon 5600W is its raw acceleration.

  • The "Kick": In Dual Motor mode, the front wheel can spin on takeoff. It reaches 30 MPH in seconds and can conquer 45–50° inclines where standard commuter scooters would stall.
  • Ride Modes: It features a 3-speed system. Most users report that "Gear 2" is plenty for urban commuting, while "Gear 3" is reserved for open roads and speed enthusiasts.

Build Quality & Design

Commonly described by reviewers as being "built like a tank," the GT08 uses a reinforced aluminum and iron frame.

  • Stability: The 11-inch off-road tires provide a "Cadillac-like" ride, soaking up potholes and gravel with ease.
  • Visibility: It comes with a 360° lighting package, including powerful dual headlights, side-skirt LEDs (in orange/yellow), and integrated turn signals.
  • Convenience: The scooter includes a detachable seat and a folding mechanism for transport—though at 95 lbs, it is a heavy lift for stairs.

Real-World Pro Tips for New Owners

Based on 500+ reviews, here is how to get the best experience out of your Arwibon GT08:

1. Handling the "Death Wobble"

At speeds above 35 MPH, some riders experience steering vibration.

  • Solution: Invest in a steering damper (345mm is the recommended length).
  • Adjustment: Tighten the main stem bolts and ensure your handlebars are perfectly aligned before your first ride.

2. Battery Management

While the battery is 27Ah, riding at full throttle in dual-motor mode will drain it faster.

  • Sweet Spot: Riding between 25–35 MPH typically yields a range of 35+ miles.
  • Software Tip: The center display might stay in KMH, but the smaller trigger-throttle LCD can often be toggled to MPH via the "P-settings."

3. Safety First

This is not a toy. The torque is instantaneous and can be intimidating for beginners.

  • Gear: A full-face helmet and pads are highly recommended.
  • P-Setting Hack: If the takeoff is too jerky, you can adjust the "P-code" for start-up strength to make the acceleration smoother.

The Verdict: Is It Worth It?

For under $700, the Arwibon GT08 offers a price-to-performance ratio that is currently unmatched. While it may require some "wrenching" (tightening bolts and basic tuning) out of the box, it provides the speed and hill-climbing power of scooters triple its price.

Pros:

  • Unbeatable price for 5600W power.
  • Excellent suspension and off-road capability.
  • Highly customizable (P-settings and physical mods).

Cons:

  • Heavy weight makes it less portable.
  • Requires a steering damper for high-speed safety.
  • Battery range drops significantly at top speeds.
  • How to Access the Menu

  • Turn on the scooter.

  • Hold the Power and Mode buttons simultaneously for 3–5 seconds.

  • Once the screen changes to show a "P" followed by a number (e.g., P01), you are in the menu.

  • Navigate: Use the Power button to cycle through the P-codes (P01 to P20).

  • Adjust: Use the Mode button to increase values (some versions use Power to decrease).

  • Save: Hold both buttons again or wait 10 seconds for it to time out.

P08Speed Limit0–100 (Keep at 100 for full power)
P09Start Mode0: Zero Start
P10Drive Mode0: Front only

P15Low Voltage CutoffSet to 48V or 52V to protect battery
P16Odometer ResetHold Mode button for 5 seconds to clear
P17Cruise Control0: Off

Critical Tuning Tips

  • MPH Change: Note that changing P02 to "1" often only updates the smaller throttle screen. Many users report the large center display stays in KM/H (even if it says "mph").

  • Torque Control (P12): If the scooter "jerks" too hard when you pull the throttle, lower P12 to 2 or 3. This will make the takeoff much smoother and safer for city riding.

  • Safety (P09): I highly recommend setting P09 to 1 (Kick Start). Because the GT08 has immense torque, a "Zero Start" can cause the scooter to fly out of your hands if you accidentally bump the throttle while standing still.

  • Speed Accuracy: If your speedometer feels "off" compared to a GPS app on your phone, adjust P07 up or down by one digit until they match.

MAIN POINTS BEFORE BUYING

Due to the special cases rightnow, the transportation could be delayed, and

1. The max speed was limited to less than 25km/h strictly when we produced them to abide by the laws in most contries and regions. You can't unlock it by throttle's setting mode because we installed the speed-limiter inside the scooter. If you require the higher speed experiences, you need to cut off the limiter by yourself or ask me to do that in advance before we ship it.

2. About the relationships among VSETT and ZERO/GRACE/SPEEDUAL. Actually all of them are assembled in our factory. VSETT is the newest higher-class series, that means better parts, better technology and more luxurious experience, just like LEXUS and TOYOTA, AUDI and VOLKSWAGEN. SPEEDUAL/GRACE series are the same as ZERO series, just the brands are different, in some countries, they are called ZERO, but in China we call them SPEEDUAL or GRACE.

3. About VSETT series. "+" means dual motors, so VSETT 8+/9+/10+/11+, they equipped both front motor and rear motor. VSETT 8/9 only equipped the rear motor, but the shape of VSETT 8 is almost as same as VSETT 8+, and the shape of VSETT 9 is almost as same as VSETT 9+. In this description page, We don't emphasize specially that the photos are VSETT 9 or 9+.

4. The main color of VSETT 9/9+ is black and peacock blue. There is color deviation in the photos because of difference among display equipments/cameras/softwares. Please make sure you know this color deviation, and if you say "I don't like this color" or "the colors aren't like the photos","So I need return it", Sorry I wouldn't support your requirement.

5. VSETT series support NFC(Near Field Communication). That means you can turn on the scooter by your phone, but you need to make sure your phone have NFC function and support to control scooter. Maybe some phones have NFC function but can't control scooter such as iphone 11.

6. We have done a lot of treatment for waterproofing, but we can't promise you the scooter damaged by water is still under guarantee, because 100% waterproofing is impossible under the current technical conditions. In addition, riding on rainy days is very unsafe. We strongly recommend that you do not ride on rainy days.

7. We are constantly improving our scooters, and we have many different suppliers to provide parts, so maybe some small details of the scooter you receive would be different from the photos of description page, such as the brake/grips/tires/screws/arms/motors...don't worry, sir, it's normal, that means you receive a newest model, this is the official store, I promise to provide the newest improved models, just the description page is not renewed yet!

8. The max range based on Macury lab data, someone of 60kg continuously rode a max charging scooter on a flat road, with only rear motor, at 15km/h and 25℃, without wind. The real distance would be much shorter. Your driving style, speed, temperature, load, tire pressure, road condition, weather, all of them would greatly affect a scooter's real range.

9. The batteries' cells of Standard edition are made by Chinese companies, the cells of Pro edition are made by LG, the cells of EX edition are made by LG/Samsung/Others, but no matter which edition's cells, they are packed by Chinese companies.

10. The laws and regulations are very different among countries, I don't know whether our scooters comply with your local laws and regulations, you have to consult your local traffic authority in advance, we wouldn't bear any legal liability for that.

ABOUT SHIPPING AND CUSTOMS/TARIFFS/TAXES/VAT

1. The electric scooters equip lithium batteries, so they are international prohibited goods. We have to deliver them by some special way. Usually, there is no normal way to transport them, So we send them to Shenzhen at first, then to Hongkong, and to Europe/Russia/USA/Australia/Canada etc. Generally, we will ship it by train to Europe/Russia, by sea to USA/Canada/Australia, then deliver it by UPS/DHL/FedEX and other logictics companies.

2. The tracking number can't be trackable before finishing the clearance generally, if you can track it, it means you will get scooter several days later, before that, please wait patiently.

3. Free tax means we will bear the customs/taxes/VAT for you, you won't pay for that anymore. Free tax contries: EU/USA/UAE/Canada/Russia/Australia/Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand and so on. If you come from other countries, please consult us before your buying.

4. From early 2020, some states of United States would charge customs duties directly when you purchase goods from Aliexpress. So if you're from those states, when you submit an order, you'll find that the system charge you extra taxes automatically, if you want to avoid it, please contact me, maybe I can do something to help you.

5. If you're from Bulgaria/Romania/Ireland, although these countries are the members of EU, but they would charge the second time customs duties maybe, it's not 100%, but a certain propability. This situation is beyond my control, so if you're from these countries, when you're charged by agency, you have to pay the second time customs duties by yourself. I don't know how much they will charge you, you have to consult your local customs agency.

6. If you're from Australia, and you don't have an import lisence, because the government of Australia changed the import policy, We have to ship the scooter without battery, and ship the battery seperately at same time, you have to install the battery by yourself, and you have to bear the shipping fees of battery, it's around $100. If you don't want to do that, of course I will ship the scooter with the battery, just as I said, it's not 100%, but a certain propability, some times it's strict but some times it isn't.

7. If you're from UK, because of Brexit, we can't ship scooters to U.K now, maybe the situation would be changed in the future, but rightnow I can do nothing.
